Handmade Trivets, Scarves, Beanies as well as Custom.

Oak Hill, Florida

Announcement    February 2024 - The newest item in my shop is my Reversible Trivet (Hot Pad). Each one is made to withstand the heat from a hot dish and to protect your table or counter surface. I will be adding more asap, but if you would like to see a certain color or theme feel free to drop me a note. The flip side is sometimes similar and others are opposites. The trivets are not designed to pick up hot pots, since they are folded layers of fabric. The layers have been secured but the main function is to protect your surfaces, when placing pots on your tables or counters.

Many of my friends and family are using these as "Wall Art" and are hanging them. That's okay too! If you find another function, drop me a note and tell me about it.

I will be listing some of the Wine Hats, mentioned in November, 2021, as well as Scarves and Beanies that can be worn. And, possibly, other new items so drop in often.

If you have any questions about any of the items I offer, please feel free to contact me. I hope you have a Blessed Year. Janet

February 2022 - Hello Again! It's been a while. It's been a hectic few years for all of us. We arrived home (from RVing) the end of 2019 and have stayed here. That has allowed me to concentrate on Weaving and Knitting again with my Looms and Knitting Machines. Yarn is such a wonderful fiber.

In November 2021, I started making knitted Christmas Ornaments in the shape of a Beanie; a small Beanie. One thing lead to another and they quickly evolved to be a cute adornment for a present. Then a close friend suggested a Gift Card Holder. WOW - 3 in 1 - and then the light bulb went on: A Wine (or any kind of bottle) Topper! (mostly I call them Wine Hats). I've been really enjoying pairing colors and charms on each one that makes the cut.

Currently they've been a big hit at our local Wine Bar and with family and friends. Very versatile and I can customize the charms (and colors) to be almost any theme or color. So customizing has been a fun process too - especially seeing what family and friends select for their gifts.

Often I use yarns from our travels which are now no longer made so they are each unique. To make many of the same color and charm, I'll be doing custom orders. The ones listed in the shop will be 'one of a kind', although others can be made similar they won't be identical.

Think of your favorite Team, a Wedding participant gift, colors to match your decor, the choices are never ending.

I hope you enjoy my creation as much as I enjoy making them!
Heartfelt.

May 2019 - The TX shop wanted all of my Note Cards. No complaints from me!!!! I am so thankful they have carried my cards all of these years! I'm working on new Note Cards, new Weaving, and a new line of Mixed Media Art using Alcohol Inks and also, Acrylic Inks. I've finally have gotten a few items posted.

I'm currently working on a line of Square Note Cards. I love the shape of the square cards and they can double as Gift Cards. Because the USPS requires certain rectangle envelopes for their First Class Stamps, I will be folding a Square (non-sealing) envelope for the cards and will include a normal Note Card Envelope that passing the USPS requirements. It might be a learning process for some - and unusual to have a square inside a rectangle; but we'll see!

I appreciate each of you stopping by. Please check back soon. God Bless!

Fall 2018 - Been home for a few months and made lots of new Note Cards. I'll be posting them as soon as I see what a Shop Owner in Texas would like to pick out for her shop. And, I'll be posting new Hand Woven Items as well. Please check back soon, I hope to have lots of New Listings posted the end of October or early November!

Fall 2017 - We are back in the Lower 48 from our wonderful Summer travel in Canada and Alaska. I'm slowly getting items listed but, in the meantime, if you want a quote on any custom items please feel free to contact me. Lots of things have sold out, but I can weave similar items. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas. God Bless You all. Please stop by often to see new items.

April 2017 - My husband and I will be traveling through Western Canada and Alaska from May through September 2017. During that time, all Etsy Sales in my shop will be suspended. I will be Weaving while we are in travel mode, so as soon as we are back in the Lower 48 I'll post new items for Sale.
In the meantime, I hope you all have a wonderful summer!
God Bless America!

November 2016 - Greetings Everyone! We are currently in AZ for the Winter. Hope you are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas as much as I am. As you review items in my shop (present and past Woven items), if there is something you would like please send me an email. Most items can be completed and mailed within a week, depending on the complexity. Have a wonderful Fall and Winter.

I've been able to spend lots of time designing and weaving! I hope you enjoy my creations. More will be added often.

During December and January, Free Shipping & Handling on all orders, inside the contiguous United States.

As always, our RV is Non-Smoking and Non-Animals.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Season!

July 2016 - A few listings have been posted today. Please check back often for new items. I have lots of colors and designs floating in my head. Have a wonderful day.

June 2016 - We had to change the plans for the Summer '16 travel, due to a couple of delays beyond our control. We remain flexible or as one friend says "FLUID" with our plans and are currently enjoyed the area around Lake Superior near Duluth, MN. With that said, we are back in the USA for the rest of the year and I've decided to go ahead and post some of the scarves, runners, Note Cards, etc., that I've made in the past few months. Thank you so much for being patient while we travel. God Bless You All.

April 2016 - Update!
My friends. Thank you for your orders this past year. Currently we are about to enter Canada for an extended Road Trip from East to West and then into Alaska. We estimate we will be back in the Lower 48 around 10 September 2016. I will be weaving along the way, and will post in September. Would love to post before then, but limited WiFi access and mailing sold items presents several issues from outside the USA. IF there are items you'd like to have, please send me a message. See you in September!!!!

Message 2014-2016.
It's been quite interesting since my husband retired (8 March 14) and we 'hit the road' to Alaska, Canada, and the Lower 48. As many of you know, I haven't been selling Note Cards due to limited space in the RV to carry paper supplies! So I taught myself to crochet and then Knitting. What fun and for a while, I thought I would offer some of those in my shop. THEN, I took a Weaving Class....OH MY WHAT FUN!

I ordered a 24" Kromski Harp Loom and the stash of yarns I have is dwindling. Being 'on the road' gives me a chance to check out many (mostly locally owned) yarn shops across the country, (probably a mistake) but what fun!!!!!! Love finding interesting yarns not seen in every store. I have several items done and worthy of posting. So, please, check back often for updates. Thank you for stopping by my shop! Hope you will come back often and share with your friends. God Bless!
P.S. For the friends that order my Note Cards, we will return to home base in November 2017, and I will offer some Note Cards at that time. And, I'm working on a Note Card design that holds a Recipe Card. IF you want to find us - I have a Blog: ForksInTheRVRoad.com Have a wonderful year!
